Operative Technique
The author suggests 15 principles regarding operative technique.
Uterine suspension (usually triplication of the round ligament) is often advocated to lift the adnexa out of the posterior
cul-de-sac where they may be more vulnerable to adhesion formation. If the suspension lasts only a few days we feel we have
accomplished our task. By this time the healing process has been completed sufficiently such that adhesions of the adnexa are unlikely.
